The Guardian (2006)
An aging Coast Guard rescue swimmer, played by Kevin Costner, gets assigned to rescue swimmer school (a Top Gun school for rescue swimmers) where he once broke every record held. A new recuit, played by Ashton Kutcher, threatens to break those records.
The first half of this movie is rather boring as the recuits go through basic rescue swimmer training and predictable peronal conflicts with each other and their instructors. The latter half of this movie has a no-frills Kostner paired up with a cocky Kutcher in the field, where Kutcher is put to the test of saving lives.
This movie did nothing for me. A lot of it was boring and predictable. It's basicially Top Gun Coast Guard style -- with no jets and a lot less bang.
