The Black Dahlia (2006)
The Black Dahlia aka Elizabeth Short murder remains one of Los Angeles County's most famous unsolved murders (circa 1947). This film attempts to suggest, in a fictional sort of way, that the film producers have solved it. Far from it.
This movie was boring, drawn out, and uncomfortably long. It should have been named "Two cops with hang-ups." The Black Dahlia makes few appearances and you learn little about her or her actual murder. Instead, this movie zeros in on the two cops attempting to solve the murder and their shared girlfriend. Everyone in this movie seems to have a mental or emotional problem of some sort.
Pass on this movie, even as a rental.
